Imagine...
Here are a couple of quotes from one of my mentors, Fr. Richard Rohr-
"A failure of the modern church, maybe of the church in every age, has been a failure of imagination."
"Imagination is
largely a matter of being able to re-image life."
When I hear folks debate about whether the Bible is the result of divine inspiration, I cannot help but think it is a more accurate view to consider Hebrew/Christian scripture as divinely imagined.
We haven't read the Bible, or any book, until it has been imaged anew in our own mind and transformed in our active life. All our becoming is first imagined. What we imagine, we become.
Imagination is the shape and substance of inspiration.
